Trine University is still accepting registration for its second annual Storm Into Summer, a conference for K-12 educators, on Tuesday, June 2.
Interested educators can register at stormintosummer26.sched.com.
The conference will be held at Trine University’s Angola campus, with only a $25 cost to register.
Storm Into Summer will include 28 different sessions presented by educators on topics ranging from AI, Innovation in Education, Learner Engagement and Success, STEAM, Literacy and the Science of Reading and Monitoring Student Learning to Universal Design for Learning and Accessibility.
Indiana's 2026 Teacher of the Year, Megan Johnson, will be the keynote speaker and also will present a session on the Science of Reading.
Those who attended last year’s conference praised the event and said it provided a needed opportunity to connect with other educators in the area.
One attendee commented, "I think this was extremely organized and provided great opportunities for educators to connect and share ideas. Having current teachers presenting on a variety of topics is exactly what is needed for really good conversations and engagement."
"I was extremely impressed with all of the presentations I went to and so grateful that the presenters were so willing to share their resources,” said another. “It will save some of us a lot of time when implementing some of these new ideas!"
Tours highlighting Trine University’s facilities and resources will be offered at midday and the event will end with a social hour and giveaways.
Vendors with products from trusted educational resources also will be present.
