  • Thermal and Statistical Physics: Receive an introduction to thermal and statistical physics. Apply thermodynamic principles to thermodynamic systems to describe and predict their behavior. Explore topics including thermal equilibrium, laws of thermodynamics and selected concepts in statistics (such as fundamental concepts and probability distributions).
  • Instructional Design: Study the problems, purposes and responsibilities of teaching, including educational standards, deductive and inductive strategies, assessment, needs of diverse learners, daily and long-range planning, classroom management and parental involvement in the schools.
  • Culturally Responsive Teaching: Learn about the programs and practices in schools with multicultural populations and focus on becoming a culturally responsive teacher.
