“Our nominating committee reviewed every submission and ultimately delivered an impressive roster for 2016,” said Bob Lander, chair of DMAI. “I look forward to recognizing these 30 future leaders who have already demonstrated exceptional potential.”

The 2016 honorees originate from a variety of destinations and backgrounds, from National Tourism Bureaus such as Brand USA and the Bermuda Tourism Authority to local Convention and Visitors Bureaus in Victoria, Texas, and Macon, Georgia.

Troutman, who works as sales manager of Visit Indy, graduated in 2009 from Trine with a bachelor of arts degree in communication. She was active on campus as a four-year member of the women’s basketball team and Kappa Sigma Alpha Sorority. Currently, she serves on the alumni association board and has been employed with Visit Indy for nearly five years.

“It’s an honor to represent Visit Indy in this year’s DMAI class and to be included in such a prestigious list of emerging industry leaders,” said Troutman. “I look forward to continuing to grow within the industry and becoming a more philanthropic leader in Indy.”

The mission of Visit Indy is to increase Indianapolis economic growth by strategically selling the destination to conventions, meetings, events and leisure travelers. According to Rockport Analytics, 27 million visitors provide $4.5 billion in total economic impact annually, supporting 75,400 full-time equivalent jobs in Central Indiana.  For more information, go to www.VisitIndy.com.
