Trine University’s Theatre Department hosted 25 area middle and high school students
for a workshop on April 3 in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

The workshop lasted 90 minutes and included five stations, including blocking, character
                                 development and directing.

Following the workshop, the students watched a rehearsal for Trine Theatre’s upcoming
                                 production of “The Matchmaker.”

“The parents that attended with their kids were totally impressed and asked us to
do it for every show,” said LouAnn Homan, Trine Theatre director. “Out of all of those
kids, only one had ever been in the Furth. Their eyes actually had stars in them!”
