Professor Erich Barlow, adjunct faculty member for TrineOnline and program matter
expert for the university’s Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence program,
is quoted again in a new article on security for cloud computing.
The article appears in the latest edition of CSO, which serves IT security professionals. It offers tips for using automated tools
to lessen the security challenges of using cloud storage services from multiple providers.
Such challenges can include vendors using different methods of data encryption or
identity management, or coordinating system patches or updates, Professor Barlow says
in the article.
He says organizations need to develop robust frameworks to monitor, control and audit
automated tools. This includes ensuring automated tools align with a company’s overall
security strategy and developing transparent processes and protocols for when humans
need to intervene.
“This is very current as this also aligns with my current course that I am teaching
as well, Cloud Computing,” he said.

and certifications.
