Trine's Master of Science in nursing (MSN) nursing education track is designed for working nurses who are ready to take the next step into teaching and leadership roles. This fully online, flexible program allows you to continue working while advancing your education, with completion in as few as four semesters.

The curriculum of the nursing education track is focused on developing strong teaching, curriculum design and evaluation skills, with dedicated practicum support to help guide your educational experiences. Through applied learning real-world practicum hours in academic or clinical education settings, you will gain the confidence and expertise needed to effectively educate the next generation of nurses and support learning across healthcare environments.
Track competencies
All MSN graduates share advanced core outcomes, followed by track-specific outcomes. Upon completion of the MSN program, graduates will:
- Synthesize advanced nursing knowledge by integrating advanced scientific, theoretical and specialty knowledge to improve healthcare outcomes across diverse populations and systems.
- Lead systems change by designing, implementing and evaluating system-level initiatives that improve quality, safety and equity in healthcare delivery.
- Translate and generate evidence by translating research into practice and contributing to scholarship that advances nursing and healthcare outcomes.
