Student Spotlight - Caleb Elliot

By Elizabeth Thiel

Caleb Elliot, a sophomore here at Trine University, has already left an indelible mark on the Trine community.

Elliot’s journey to higher education began uniquely, as he completed most of his freshman year while still in high school. His early start not only speaks volumes about his academic dedication, but also hints at his exceptional academic trajectory.

Beyond the classroom, Elliot is deeply entrenched in the media landscape at Trine. As member of both the Trine Broadcast Team and the HAC Media Team, Elliot is able to showcase his versatile talents in various roles; including being in front of the camera and working behind the scenes.

His commitment to excellence is evident: whether it's providing color alongside commentator, Andy Brown at the Trine Broadcasting Network, or operating cameras on the sidelines.

Here, he is able to hone in on his skills in videography, which is a field he is passionately delving into.

One of Elliot’s most exciting ventures is a new podcast he is developing where he and his friend James Ruple, a freshman at Trine University dissect all things sports.

"We have a lot of big plans in store for our podcast in the future,” Elliot said.

What sets their podcast apart is their recent foray into interviews with fellow athletes at Trine—a testament to Caleb's ambition and his desire to push boundaries.
