Chinazam Okoroafor
Country – Nigeria
Major – Chemical Engineering
Languages – Igbo, English
Ndeewo, my name is Chinazam Okoroafor and I am a sophomore from Nigeria studying Chemical Engineering here at Trine! I’m an involved-on-campus student who loves meeting new people and helping make college transitions easy. Before and after my arrival to the US, I challenged myself to try something new, something different, and to get out of my comfort zone, and I am happy to say that the challenge was an awesome idea. By so doing, I have discovered new hobbies, cultures and perspectives, and I have improved my networking skills—something that I’ve learned is very beneficial to everyone.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me!

Hello! My name is Sarah. I’m majoring in biomedical engineering. I choose biomedical engineering because I have the desire to study both medicine and engineering, so biomedical engineering was the best fit for me.

Ingrid Rosales Perez
Country – Hondoras
Major – Accounting
Languages – Spanish, English
Hello! My name is Ingrid Rosales and I am a sophomore studying Accounting and pursuing my Master's in Business Administration.
I am very involved on campus, currently part of Trine Women's Soccer Team, Theta Phi Alpha and many more organizations! I love getting to meet new people and grabbing coffee with them or grabbing a bite (such as sushi!). I remember when I first came to Trine University, in a sense I felt lost since I did not know that many people but slowly I began to creep out of shell and meet new people and now I am well recognized around campus!

My name is Upasana Shrestha but my friends call me Paso. As an international student, I have gone through (some of ) the same experiences you will go through. Only a year and a half ago, I gazed out the van wondering if I made the right decision. After overcoming homesickness and initial adjustments, I can't imagine going anywhere else. I want to make your time here just as filled with fun, friendly and insightful as the past few years have been for me.
Trine, like any other school has its own ups and downs, but we truly have the most amazing community. I can help with real answers to your questions about classes, what things you might want consider bringing, things you can do here, how to adjust, and clubs and social activities youyou can join, etc.!

Jared Bowman
Country – Canada
Major – Finance
Languages – English
Hey! My name is Jared Bowman, and I am a sophomore studying finance at Trine University’s
Ketner School of Business. When not in class or studying you’ll find me either at
the Thunder Ice Arena or the Zollner Golf Course as I play on both the NCAA Men’s
Ice Hockey team and the NCAA Golf Team. I love all things sports, and aside from hockey
and golf I really enjoy hiking and watersports.
Transitioning to attending university in a new country was quite difficult and took
some time. However, through meeting other students at Trine and with the help of the
Office of International Services the change was overcome in no time. Trine University
has set me up with some great friendships, connections, and memories that I couldn’t
have gotten anywhere else.
