TrineWrite at the Amy Salyer-Nicholls Writing Center

Welcome to TrineWrite and the Amy Salyer-Nicholls Writing Center. Our staff of tutors provides assistance on any form of writing at any stage of the process, including brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing. The Writing Center is located in the LINK in the Rick and Vicki James University Center.

This semester, you can sign up for a variety of session types, including:

  • Face-to-face:  meet with a tutor in the Writing Center
  • e-tutoring:  submit your document for review and feedback
  • online:  meet virtually with a tutor using zoom

We do accept walk-ins but appointments are strongly encouraged to ensure that help will be available to you, especially while COVID restrictions are in place. To register for a free account and make an appointment, please visit the Writing Center's Calendar Page.

Appointments can be reserved in 30 minute increments; feel free to make multiple reservations to expand your tutorial time as needed. If your paper or project is longer than 5 pages or you have a lot of topics to address, we recommend you schedule a longer appointment. This extended option is also best if you have work like a portfolio or capstone project, tech com or senior design proposal, or research or longer argumentative or analysis essay. Consider the scope of your project and/or the degree of help you anticipate needing, and plan accordingly.

Schedule your appointment today.
