The office of Admission looks forward to helping you through the enrollment process!

Please see the below to-do list to help you with all the steps to complete your enrollment to Trine University.

We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2019! Your next step should be to send in your transcript and test scores. Also, be ready to submit your FAFSA on or after Oct. 1st.

Enrollment Checklist

Visit campus on a group visit day or customize it how you want with an individual visit!
All accepted students will automatically receive a merit-based scholarship with the admit packet. Do not forget the additional stackable scholarships (limit 2) are also available to eligible incoming students.

Outside scholarship opportunities for incoming students are abundant and can be found on our financial aid page. We encourage all students to check them out as soon as possible to meet all deadlines.
Complete the FAFSA after October 1 and before the March 1 deadline to receive a $500 tuition incentive grant (TIG). This is to be completed annually. School code for the FAFSA is 001839. www.fafsa.gov
Your enrollment deposit secures your enrollment and housing spots and is refundable until May 1, 2019. It is $300 and you can place your deposit online after admission.
An enrollment deposit must be made before a housing contract will be accepted. Please read up on housing information and be on the lookout for an email from the IT Help Desk concerning MyPortal login information to complete your housing application.  
  • Activate your MyTrineFAOpens in new window account online to have access to all your financial aid information.
  • Submit all requested documents to financial aid.
  • Review and accept/decline awards through MyTrineFA.
The Office of Financial Aid is available M-F from 8 am - 5 pm and can be reached via phone at 260.665.4610 or email finaid@trine.edu. *Please note, financial aid and MyTrineFA account information is not yet available for Fall 2019.
Registration for SOAR 2019 is not currently available.

Student Orientation and Registration for incoming freshman and transfer students and their parents is an opportunity to meet your academic advisor, plan your first semester of classes, learn valuable information about resources at Trine, set up your student ID and email, and meet other new and returning students.
Upon graduation from high school, send your official final high school transcript which includes a graduation date, official school signature and seal, in a sealed envelope, to:

An applicant for freshman standing who achieves a score of 3, 4, or 5 on the College Entrance Examination Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Examination may be granted credit. AP Calculus will require a 4 or 5 to be reviewed for credit. 
All dual enrollment courses must have been completed with a C or higher to be evaluated for credit. For your dual enrollment courses to be reviewed, one must request an official college transcript from the institution they are through. Please send official transcripts to Karen Reinoehl, Director of Transfer Admission.

Payment Options

Credit/debt card or ACH payments can be made online.
  • American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa are accepted online with a 2.99% transaction fee.
  • eCheck (no additional fee) - funds will be taken from the bank account you designate.

Monthly Payment Plans

Monthly payment plans are available through Tuition Management Systems (TMS) for students who wish to pay their semester costs in installments (available for fall and spring semesters only). Plans are interest free and are available in 6, 5, or 4 monthly installments. There is a $30 enrollment fee. Payments are always due the 1st of each month, and are made directly to TMS.
