Judging
The Northeastern Indiana Tri-State Regional Fair will be held
February 27, 2027, on the campus of Trine University in Angola, Indiana.
The Science Fair is an educational experience as well as a contest, and the interview with the judge is an important part of this experience. The decision of the judges will be final.
Criteria for judging include scientific thought, originality, thoroughness, technical skill and clarity. A more extensive listing of these criteria may be obtained from the School Coordinator or the Regional Director. Use the Overview Wizard to help you determine what forms and approvals are necessary before beginning a science fair project.
For projects in grades 4th through 12th - Selections for Hoosier Science and Engineering State Fair are made at Regional Fair. The requirements for special forms and non-school emails are posted on Sefi.org.
