2022 HAC Awards

On April 14th Trine University Jannen School hosted its annual HAC Awards in Wells Gallery of Taylor Hall. Many students received awards in different categories to acknowledge their hard work and success.

In the category of Excellence in Photography Mattie Maguire, a psychology major from Allen, Texas; and Benjamin Williams, a communication major from Farmington Hills, Michigan were awarded for their work. Williams stated “I really enjoyed it, Professor Zimmer made my entire year with what she said about me and my art. I am very happy with everyone who won awards especially the seniors. I look up to every one of them.”

The Golden Microphone award for Excellence in Broadcasting was Drew Everhart, a sport management major from Greensburg, Indiana. Outstanding Freshman in Humanities and Communication was awarded to Elizabeth Welker, a communication major from Maumee, Ohio who displayed excellence in her courses. Senior Communication major, Cooper Lee, from South Bend, Indiana, was awarded The Needler-McGregor Outstanding Student in English. Lee explained, “I didn’t expect to win the Outstanding Student in English Award, but I was honored. Professor Goddard being the presenter made it pretty special, and I’m proud of everyone in my class.” Seniors received awards in their own category including Outstanding Spanish Student of the Year who went to Marcus Miller, an electrical engineering major from Lakeville, Indiana. Outstanding Senior Writing Center Tutor was received by Noah Swift, a communication major from Edinburgh, Indiana. Swift stated “"It was an honor and awarding to see everyone’s achievements that they obtained through their hard work. Especially the Seniors as they have worked hard for 4 years to be where they are now.”
